Westborn Ltd is a leading supplier of nursery products and home furniture across the UK under our brands, Kinder Valley and Westborn Home. We are committed to crafting high-quality, stylish, and functional furniture that complements modern living spaces and caters to growing families.

Additionally, this role will include social media content creation for Glenvale Media, a radio production company that produces content for the BBC. This means the apprentice will gain experience in two industries: social media marketing for a retail brand and content promotion for a media production company.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while working on impactful marketing campaigns for our brands across TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest.

The apprentice will spend 3.5 to 4 days per week working on social media for Westborn Ltd and 1 to 1.5 days per week on content creation and social media promotion for Glenvale Media for content for the BBC.

You will assist in creating, curating, and managing engaging content to grow our online presence and connect with our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

For Westborn Ltd:

• Content Creation and Management: Develop creative, platform-specific content for TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest. Come up with innovative and out-of-the-box ideas for social media posts to drive engagement and awareness.
• Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyse social media performance metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, impressions, and conversions).

For Glenvale Media:

• Social Media Content Creation: Develop engaging social media content to promote Glenvale Media’s radio productions, including those for the BBC. Create posts that highlight key episodes, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Community Engagement & Promotion: Engage with listeners, respond to comments, and build an online community around Glenvale Media’s productions. Assist in promoting upcoming shows, interviews, and special broadcasts.

Skills and Attributes:

• Creative mindset with a passion for social media and content creation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest (experience is a plus but not required).
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and trends.

Entry Requirements:

• 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
• Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
