IT Asset Manager

IT Asset Manager, Hybrid, £400 plus p/d, Inside IR35:

We are seeking an IT Asset Manager to join an exciting client’s team on a temporary basis for a 2-month initial contract. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT Asset Management Specialist to review and implement processes pertaining all IT assets within the organisation. This includes hardware, software, licenses, and other technology-related resources. This is a short-term, day-rate position focused on delivering operational excellence across the organisation’s IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Asset Lifecycle Management: Review software and hardware Data repositories & Tools and reconcile data in line with ITIL v4 practices.
• To ensure adequate stock levels and asset status tracking of hardware, peripherals, software services, and licenses, through processes, automation and reporting.
• Recommend and implement continual service improvements and ensure the integrity and compliance of the IT asset portfolio, including software usage and renewals.
• Contribute to the development of Robust ITAM policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.

Essential Skills Required:

• Software Asset Management (SAM): Proven experience in managing software assets, including tracking, compliance, and software renewals.
• Snow SAM: Hands-on experience with the Snow SAM product and its functionalities.
• Microsoft Ecosystem: Strong knowledge of Office 365, Azure Active Directory (AD), Active Directory, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 (M365) environments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and create clear, accurate documentation.
• ITSM & ITAM Systems Knowledge: Solid understanding and practical experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) systems and IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles and processes.
