Construction Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a housing site construction project in Bristol. The successful candidate will have strong experience in programme administration, contractor coordination, and quality control, with a technical understanding of construction details—cladding experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

? Project Coordination & Planning:

• Participate in compiling the coordination programme using Asta Powerproject.
• Ensure efficient short-term planning for smooth project execution.
• Drive the project programme, managing progress and deadlines.

? Site & Contractor Management:

• Act as the primary liaison with subcontractors, ensuring smooth communication.
• Delegate responsibilities effectively among site staff.
• Maintain records of site activities, work schedules, and resource allocations.

? Quality Control & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to processes required by Warranty providers, Building Control, and BOPAS.
• Maintain quality control procedures, ensuring ITPs are recorded.
• Identify and escalate potential project delivery issues (e.g., materials, schedules, resources).

? Health, Safety & Logistics:

• Ensure compliance with HSEQS protocols at all times.
• Oversee safe logistics of works—including people, machinery, lifting operations, and public safety.
• Assist in managing the permit process and issuing permits to work.

? Technical & Reporting Duties:

• Manage RFI creation and tracking, liaising with designers and subcontractors.
• Ensure all materials are proposed and approved per the last planner programme.
• Monitor HSEQ aspects of the project, contributing to the Project Health & Safety File.
• Provide progress updates, report blockers, and escalate programme discrepancies.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

? Strong experience in project programming and contractor coordination.
? Proven ability in quality control checks, including ITPs.
? Excellent technical knowledge of construction details (cladding experience beneficial).
? Housing site experience essential.
? Proficiency in Asta Powerproject.
