Here at The Recruitment Co, we are currently resourcing a Warehouse Supervisor to work for a company based in Blackwood.

This is a Hands-on Role reporting to the Warehouse Manager. Assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast-moving environment. Responsible for the day-to-day management of employees within the warehouse function, to ensure company targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring that staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures. Responsible for housekeeping standards and continuous improvement within the warehouse. Develop the team by promoting positivity and focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards.

Main job roles

• Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the entire goods in/out process to ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage and despatch of goods.
• Oversee and develop 3PL accounts, liaising with customers
  and third party logistics suppliers.
• Effectively promote and review all warehouse processes,
  including compliance to Policies, Procedures and Health &
  Safety.
• Develop a team of Warehouse Operatives and delivery
  Operatives. Promoting continuous Improvement and development of multi skilled employees by providing training and support.
• Monitor Departmental KPI’s daily, promoting continuous
  improvement to required targets. Hold daily Warehouse
  Pulse measure meetings, identifying areas for improvement.
• Communicate performance to stake holders effectivley
  though maintaining records and producing reports.
• Organise, facilitate and drive the Warehouse Cycle Count
  programme including 3PL customer cycle counts. Support
  with annual Stock Take.
• Monitor and Control FM Technician equipment register,
  storage, issues and returns of equipment and consumables
  through Sage.
• Maintain High Standards of housekeeping and champion 5S
  activities in the area. Ensuring compliance with safety and
  audit standards.
• Complete queries and/or complaints in a timley manner both
  internally and externally.
• Control Supplier and Customer returns in a timely manner,
  ensuring to liaise with other departments.
• Support the Warehouse Manager in new employee
  onboarding, inductions and people management.
• Ensure all warehouse MHE including racking is routinley
  inspected and serviced with repairs conducted as required.
• Support the Fleet Manager ensuring the fleet and its drivers
  are operating in accordance with legislation and regulations.
• Any other reasonable duties which may be required by
  Senior Management.

Required Experience

• 2-3 years Warehouse Supervisory Experience.
• An understanding of Health & Safety requirements
