Infrastructure Cabling Engineer – data cabling validation in retail stores
Looking for an experienced Field Engineer who can install and fault find on data cabling Cat 6 / 7.
This is a full-time permanent job, Mon – Fri,9-17:30, basic salary of £31000 with paid holiday, pension, private health etc. all additional hours including travel are paid as overtime, they provide tools, uniform, PPE, and an expensed (including personal usage) company van.
A unique role within the team, responsible for a contractual commitment to undertake twice yearly quality validation and preventative maintenance checks, for the self checkout and comms cabinets, across a large supermarket chains stores.
The work is across the South West area, an ideal home location would be around Bristol / Cardiff / Newport areas.
A standard day would entail 3 – 4 site visits (of around 90 mins per store) to complete a scripted survey and undertake any technical remedial actions required.
Training on EPOS / Self Checkout equipment will be given, the job is mostly the infrastructure cabling.
Would suit a Data Cabler looking for a secure permanent job.
