IT Manager

IT Manager – Bristol – £40,000 – £50,000 + bonus + private healthcare

This is an excellent opportunity for an IT Manager to join a growing software house in central Bristol to ensure the availability and reliability of the companies internal services.

It is a hands-on role with line management responsibility for one IT Support Technician, and would suit someone currently in an IT Manager / Infrastructure Manager role, or in a Senior Support Engineer role who is looking to take a step up.

The role will be office based, so it would need to be someone local to Bristol – a driving license would also be required as they have a second, smaller office in Gloucestershire (travel there would be infrequent – once every week or two).

The ideal candidate would tick the following boxes:

• Experience in an internal support / IT Manager role for an SME
• Hands-on experience providing Office365 support
• Networking (firewalls, switches etc.) knowledge
• Familiar with Windows Server 2022
• Experience of vendor management / contract negotiations etc.
• Mentoring or management experience
• Microsoft certifications
• A driving license and happy to be office based

This will be a varied role and responsibilities will include the following:

• Providing technical support (up to 3rd line) & managing tickets
• Vendor management & sourcing equipment
• Endpoint security
• Disaster recovery
• Onboarding/offboarding
• Line management of a Support Technician
