• Location: Manchester City Centre / Hybrid – 2 days from home
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (35 hours per week) – flexible start / finish times
• Salary: Up to £25,000

Search is partnering with a well-established legal business in Manchester to recruit an Legal Assistant.

As an Legal Assistant, you will provide vital support to ensure their clients and colleagues receive a high-quality experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Opening files, conflict checking, creating finance slips and organising documents, including ongoing file management such as e-filing correspondence and documents and organising files
• Creating/amending documents/correspondence
• Updating and maintaining databases
• Photocopying and scanning
• Assisting fee earners with day to day file management, billing and file closing

Your Skills and Experience:

• Experience assisting fee earners with financial management e.g. disbursements, client balances, dealing with a range of client specific billing requirements – essential.
• Able to demonstrate organisation in order to complete all allocated tasks within the required timeframe and to the required level of accuracy
• To demonstrate satisfactory levels of literacy and numeracy
• To write simple letters and e-mails
• Effective record keeping
• To have basic knowledge of and be able to use common functions of relevant computer applications with appropriate training
• Effective telephone communication skills
• Good attention to detail
• Demonstrate effective team work
• Demonstrate a conscientious, can-do attitude
• Be client focussed
• To complete all allocated tasks within the required timeframe and to the required level of accuracy
• Be supportive
